October 3, 2014 event for Patient Assist VI.
To the Most Wonderful Women of Dinner and a Cause…

What can we say but a big Thank YOU!

Thanks to you, our gathering at the ballroom at Government House was a raging success.  What a wonderful venue and beautiful place to hold our fundraiser.  I can proudly announce that our current tally for this fabulous event is
$ 8,786, with additional donations still going directly to Patient Assist VI.
We would like to thank our First Lady, Cecile deJongh for offering the Ballroom at Government House as a venue for our event.  It is an amazingly beautiful space, which many, even long time residents, had never had the opportunity to visit or enjoy before. We would also like to thank the staff for all their contributions in setting things up and cleaning up afterwards.
Bellows International provided wine for our event, and we thank them so much for that.  We hope that you enjoyed the delicious food prepared, mostly by us, your Dinner and a Cause Team.

Luckily we have a great group of friends that volunteer to help us.  We would like to thank Andy Courteau and Jonetta Darden for their bartending skills. We would also like to thank the Paiewonsky family and the Frederick Lutheran Church for the use of their parking lots.
As always, most of all we would like to thank each and every one of you.  Without the wonderful women that support our events, Dinner and a Cause would not exist.  Our first Dinner and a Cause event was in March of 2006 with 20 women in attendance, along with founding members, Suzanne Mabe, Terry Halpern and Sharon McIver.  What a long way we have come since those early days, but what a great foundation we had.  We have raised $224,262 for the less fortunate in our community, and are so proud of that.  It is all thanks to all of you who have continued to support us and our “causes” over the years.  We are looking forward to future events to help make our island a better and happier place to live.
Dinner and a Cause not only raises money for the “causes” we represent, but equally important, we raise awareness in the community.  As we all know, word of mouth on our little island goes a long way.  Many people had not heard of Patient Assist VI prior to our event, and now, we can happily report, that several new people have enrolled and have had their monthly financial worries eased a little.

Again, we thank you so much for your support and we hope you will continue to join us and enjoy the camaraderie and the great feeling, knowing you are helping a person or a family in need.

Your Dinner and a Cause Team,

Kristy, Eula, Letty, Joanie, Pam and Suzanne
