News about December 1, 2010 event for Bethlehem House Homeless Shelter.
Well, wonderful Ladies of Dinner and a Cause, thanks to you we have had another fabulously successful party at the beautiful Agave’ Terrace.  I guess we have Hurricane Earl to thank for the candle light mood that was set by the blackout.  It just goes to show how resiliant we Island women are!
Daniela Miller, owner and chef at the Agave’ Terrace so generously donated the absolutely delicious food that we so thoroughly enjoyed.   We just can’t thank her enough for her hospitality.  Her pleasant and professional staff were just perfect.  Daniela said she is passionate about giving back to the community and was thrilled to host our fund raiser.
We had 50 people in attendance and thanks to you all, we raised $4,605. at our event with many more donations coming in.  With the Kimmelman Foundation through the Community Foundation matching funds, we are so proud to say that the Bethlehem House will have wonderful, clean, safe bathrooms for their residents in no time.  Also, we have the added bonus of My Brother’s Workshop doing the renovations, so many of Scott Bradley’s young men will be gainfully employed and working on the project.
We would also like to thank the staff at the Agave’ Terrace  and Point Pleasant for shuttling everyone up from the parking lot.  They did a great job!
We are proud to say that we have raised over $114,000 since Dinner and a Cause started in 2006.  It is thanks to all of you, and we are so happy and thrilled to see the way it has positively impacted our community.
Thank you, again, for supporting our efforts to make our island a nicer and happier place to live for everyone.  We cannot do this without you, and we are very grateful to have you as friends and neighbors.

All the best to you all,
