News about January 26, 2011 event for Clear Bly Sky.

All I can say is WOW! What an amazing event we had at the St. Thomas Yacht Club with our fabulous sponsors Letty Hulsman and Rise Holt (pictured below). We cannot thank Letty and Rise enough for the spectacular job they did, Letty here on island and Rise from afar. We all missed Rise (right photo below) and wish her mother a speedy recovery.

I won’t keep you in suspense any longer…… Thanks to you we raised $10,155 and had 97 in attendance. We had 26 new people joining us for this event, and certainly look forward to seeing you all again at future parties.

First of all I would like to thank Ched and Crystal Sharpless (center photo above), owners of Modern Saute’ catering and the owners of the food and beverage concession at the Yacht Club. All the fabulously delicious food we so heartily enjoyed was their donation to our successful fund raiser. We would also like to thank so many of Letty and Rise’s friends at the Yacht Club that helped get everything ready for the party, beautiful flower arrangements and greeting people as they arrived.

Arlene (on right in center photo above with right hand person Luz Moron) was so touched by the outpouring of support she found in the women that she spoke with at the event. So many of you volunteered to help her in her quest to make a better life for our mentally challenged friends and neighbors. She was a bit overwhelmed, and did not get a chance to write down everyone’s contact information. This event for Clear Blue Sky was one of our largest in funds raised and attendance. This is all thanks to each and every one of you, and we are so proud and happy to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Dinner and a Cause would not exist without the generosity of all of you and we are so grateful to have your support.
